Itinerary Overview

Day 1: April 28 – Departure from the USA

Your journey begins as we depart from most major U.S. airports on an economy-class flight to Paris. As you board the plane, you’ll join fellow Christians who share a strong Judeo-Christian worldview, setting the stage for meaningful fellowship throughout the trip. The flight will be filled with anticipation as you prepare to explore the places where history was made.

Day 2: April 29 – Arrive in Paris & Transfer to Bayeux

Upon arrival in Paris, our expert TCE Tour Manager will greet you at the airport, providing a warm welcome to the City of Light. From here, we’ll embark on a scenic drive to the historic Bayeux area, nestled in the heart of Normandy. This region is known not only for its picturesque landscapes but also for its pivotal role in World War II. As you settle into your hotel, take a moment to reflect on the days ahead. The evening concludes with a delightful group dinner, offering a chance to connect with your fellow travelers.

Day 3: April 30 – Normandy’s Hallowed Grounds

Today, we step onto the sacred shores of Omaha Beach, where the tide of war turned on D-Day, June 6, 1944. As you stand on this historic beach, you can almost hear the echoes of the past—the bravery of the Allied forces as they stormed the beach under heavy fire. Our visit begins at the Omaha Beach Memorial Museum, where you’ll learn about the planning and execution of the Normandy invasion.

Next, we journey to Pointe Du Hoc, a dramatic promontory where U.S. Army Rangers scaled the cliffs to neutralize a critical German artillery position. The site still bears the scars of battle, with bomb craters and remnants of bunkers serving as a stark reminder of the fierce fighting that took place.

Our tour continues to the Maisy Battery, a lesser-known but crucial German defensive position, recently uncovered after decades of being hidden. Here, you’ll gain insights into the complexities of the Normandy defenses.

We’ll also pay our respects at the Bayeux Commonwealth War Graves Cemetery, where rows of white headstones mark the final resting place of soldiers who gave their lives in the battle for freedom.

The day concludes with a visit to the Memorial Museum of the Battle of Normandy, offering a comprehensive overview of the events that unfolded in this region. As you walk through the exhibits, you’ll gain a deeper appreciation for the courage and sacrifice of those who fought here.

Day 4: May 1 – The Majestic Mont Saint Michel & Paris

We begin our day with a visit to the stunning Mont Saint Michel, a marvel of medieval architecture perched on a rocky island in the midst of vast tidal plains. As one of France’s most iconic landmarks, Mont Saint Michel has been a place of pilgrimage for centuries. Its towering spires and labyrinthine streets evoke a sense of spiritual awe, making it a fitting destination for reflection and prayer.

In the afternoon, we drive to Paris, the vibrant capital of France. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the city’s rich history, with its elegant boulevards, world-renowned landmarks, and charming cafes. The day concludes with dinner in Paris, where you can savor the flavors of French cuisine in the heart of this enchanting city.

Day 5: May 2 – WWII Paris Walking Tour & Munich

Today, we embark on a captivating walking tour of Paris, focusing on the city’s World War II history. Our first stop is the Arc de Triomphe, a monument that honors those who fought and died in France’s wars, including World War II. As we stroll along the Champs-Élysées, we’ll reflect on the city’s liberation from Nazi occupation.

Our tour includes visits to the Le Meurice and Lutetia hotels, both of which played significant roles during the war. Le Meurice served as the headquarters for the German military governor of Paris, while the Lutetia was used as a repatriation center for returning prisoners of war and concentration camp survivors.

We’ll also visit the Order of Liberation Museum, dedicated to the men and women who fought for the liberation of France, and the poignant deportation memorials that commemorate the lives lost during the Holocaust.

In the late afternoon, we transfer to Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport for our evening flight to Munich, where you’ll have time to unwind after an eventful day.

Day 6: May 3 – Berchtesgaden & Salzburg

Our journey today takes us to the Bavarian Alps, where we visit the notorious Eagle’s Nest (Kehlstein), Adolf Hitler’s mountain retreat. Perched atop a mountain, the Eagle’s Nest offers breathtaking views, but it also serves as a chilling reminder of the power and control wielded by the Nazi regime. As you explore this historical site, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the strategies and ideologies that shaped World War II.

Lunch at the Eagle’s Nest restaurant allows you to take in the panoramic vistas while reflecting on the day’s experiences. We then visit the Obersalzberg Documentation Centre, a museum that delves into the history of the Nazi leadership and their impact on the world.

In the late afternoon, we travel to Salzburg, a city renowned for its musical heritage and stunning baroque architecture. Here, you’ll have the evening to enjoy the charming atmosphere of this Austrian gem.

Day 7: May 4 – Salzburg & Vienna

Today, we explore the cultural treasures of Salzburg, starting with a visit to Mozart’s birthplace and home. As we walk through the same rooms where the legendary composer grew up, you’ll gain insights into his life and the world of classical music.

We’ll also visit the Prince Archbishops' Palace, a magnificent example of baroque architecture that reflects the opulence and power of the ecclesiastical rulers of Salzburg.

In the afternoon, we drive through the scenic Austrian countryside to Vienna, a city steeped in history and culture. Upon arrival, you’ll have the opportunity to explore Vienna’s vibrant streets and elegant boulevards before enjoying dinner in this storied city.

Day 8: May 5 – Vienna’s Jewish Heritage & Krakow

Vienna’s history is intertwined with the stories of its Jewish community, and today we explore this heritage in depth. We begin with a visit to the Jewish Museum, which chronicles the rich cultural and religious life of Vienna’s Jews, as well as the tragic events of the Holocaust.

We’ll also visit Morzinplatz, where the Holocaust memorials stand as a solemn tribute to the victims of Nazi persecution. These memorials serve as powerful reminders of the atrocities committed during World War II and the importance of remembering the past.

After an early lunch, we journey to Krakow, Poland, a city that bears the scars of history yet remains a beacon of resilience and renewal. As you walk through Krakow’s cobblestone streets, you’ll sense the deep historical significance of this ancient city.

Day 9: May 6 – Auschwitz & Krakow’s Jewish Quarter

Our day begins with a profound visit to Auschwitz and Birkenau, the most infamous of the Nazi concentration camps. Here, you’ll walk through the remnants of the camps, where millions of innocent lives were taken during the Holocaust. This visit offers a sobering reflection on the depths of human cruelty and the enduring need for vigilance against hatred and intolerance.

In the afternoon, we explore Krakow’s Kazimierz district, once the center of Jewish life in the city. We’ll visit the Galicia Jewish Museum, which offers a poignant narrative of the Jewish experience in Poland, and the Old Synagogue, one of the oldest surviving synagogues in Europe.

In the evening, we take a flight to Warsaw, where you’ll have time to rest and reflect on the day’s experiences.
